Unit 4 Road safety (Grammar, Fun & Culture time)

Step 1 Revision

T: Today we continue to learn Unit 4 Road safety. Before this lesson, we know something about traffic rules.

 First. Look at these two pictures and try to choose one and work in two .

 Step 2 Grammar time

1 Present the first part.

      T: Read the sentences and discuss in four. What rules can you find?

      (学生自由说,可以用中文)

  Tips:

1 can, must是情态动词。(另起一页做情态动词的介绍)

情态动词:表示说话人的语气、情绪、态度的动词。

 Have a try:  按照语气从强到弱排列下列单词。

2 )在问句中情态动词要提前。在肯定和否定句中,他们用于人称后、动词前。

3) 情态动词后接动词原形。

4 mustn’t =must not. 翻译时要注意: must 必须   mustn’t   禁止

Step 3 Fun time

1 play this game

T: You did a good job. Now let’s play a game. How to play this game. Let’s watch a short video.

Fun time 视频,然后说规则。

Tips:

1 Work in grows. Four students are in a group.(四人小组)

2 One gives orders and asks questions. (一人负责下口令和提问题)

2 Others to pass the rubber answer the questions and judge.(三人传橡皮,得到橡皮的同学回答问题。其他人判断)

 

Step 4 Sound time

1 Lead- in

T:  You did well in the game. We must follow the rules and stay safe on the road.

(课件呈现这句话,然后教师重读 must follow     stay safe,这几个单词重读并标红)

2. Try to read

(呈现Sound time的儿歌,先让学生自己尝试读一读: 同学们,自己试一试,能不能找出重读单词啊?)

T: Please try to read by yourselves. And try to find out the stressed words.

3. Listen to the rhyme(让学生听录音,感受重读和弱读)

 T: In English, we call this “ Stress”. It has two functions.

体现句子的节奏感和韵律感。

突出重点,使听者更容易理解

T: So, you need to read some words in a sentence more loudly.

4. Listen and repeat

Follow the computer, Read together, Read in pairs.

Learning tips

Which words are stressed in the sentences?

一般来说,在句子中需重读的词都是实词,比如,名词、动词、形容词、副词、数词、代词等。不重读的多为虚词冠词、连词、介词、感叹词等。

5. Try to read some other sentences.

T: How to read them? Please try, you can discuss in groups.

(1)We can cross the road with other people.

(2)We must look left , then right, then left again.

(3)We can’t play football on the road.

1 Have a dictation about Grammar.

2 Preview Cartoon, Culture, and Checkout time.
