教学目标

1. 能听懂、会说、会读单词:   dream, future, care about, astronaut, dentist, football player, spaceship,   the World Cup, dancer, pianist, come true.

2. 能听懂、会说、会读句型:   What do you want to be in the future? I want to be a/an…

3. 通过课文重点语言知识点的学习,能理解课文内容,能自然流畅地朗读课文

4. 通过课文的学习,引导学生树立正确的价值观,能够心怀梦想并为之付出努力。

教学重点

1. 能厘清文本,并在板书和图片的帮助下复述故事。

2. 能运用所学语言谈论自己的梦想。

教学难点

1. 能理解并正确运用…want to be a/an…复述故事大意。

2. 能用语言表达自己的观点。

教学过程

Step 1 Pre-reading

1. Let’s listen

Ss listen to a song What do you want to be? and review and learn   the words about jobs.

2. Let’s discuss

Ss use the sentence structure in the song I want to be a/an…to talk   about their dreams.

设计意图:由与本课相关的英文歌曲导入引出梦想这一话题,并在歌曲中教授本课的重要语言点,引导学生借助语言支架“ I want to be a/an…”自由交流自己的梦想,为后续的文本梳理做好铺垫。)

Step 2 While-reading

1.       Watch and match

Ss listen to the tape   of the story and answer the question What are the children’s dreams.

设计意图:通过观看动画,帮助学生获取事实性信息,逐一梳理文中六个孩子的梦想,促进学生形成本语篇的宏观架构。)

2.       Read and learn

Ss think about the question Why do they have these dreams?

Mike’s dream: Ss find the reason why does Mike want to be a dentist. Ss   guess the meaning of care about according to the talk: 1. Did Mike care about   his teeth when he was a little boy? 2. How do you care about your teeth?

Other children’s dreams: Ss learn the left story by themselves.

设计意图:教师带读与学生自主阅读相结合,帮助培养学生的自主阅读能力,发展阅读策略。)

3.       Check and learn

Wang Bing’s dream:

Liu Tao’s dream: Ss find   the reason why does Wang Bing want to be an astronaut. T sublimates the   theme. Wang Bing wants fly to the Moon to study the Moon. It is not only his   dream, but also China’s space dream.

Liu Tao’s dream: Ss find   the reason why does Liu Tao want to be a football player. T sublimates the   theme.

Nancy’s dream: Ss find the   reason why does Nancy want to be a writer.

 

Su Hai and Yang Ling’s   dreams: Ss find the reason why does Su Hai want to be a dancer and why does   Yang Ling want to be a pianist. Ss think about the question: Is it easy to be   a dancer or a pianist?

T sublimates the theme: No   pain, no gain.

Practice makes perfect.

Where there is a will,   there is a way.

Miss Li’s dream: Ss listen and say.

设计意图:学生在细读语篇寻找梦想的原因的过程中可以逐步发现信息之间的逻辑关系,引导学生探究语篇语言、意义和文化内涵,帮助学生树立正确的世界观、人生观和价值观。用生活化的情境理解新词汇,鼓励学生尝试用新知识解决生活中的问题。)

Step 3 Post-reading

1.       Read and repeat

2.       Think and discuss

Ss work in the group of   four. They need to choose one character at random, talk about his/her dream   and give some advice on how to make his/ her dream come true.

3.       Let’s write

Ss write down their own   dreams and share with classmates.

设计意图:创设与学生生活实际相关联的新情境,激发学生的表达欲望,给学生语言输出创造机会,帮助学生内化语言知识,迁移主题。)

4.       Tell the Theme (moral)

Ss tell the theme of the story.

设计意图:进一步总结和提炼本课主题意义,将个人梦、国家梦与民族梦紧密地联系在一起,帮助学生增强国家认同感和家国情怀,达到育人目的。)

5. Homework

Need to do:

     Read and retell the story fluently.

     Talk about your dreams about your classmates.

Choose to do:

Learn to sing   a song about dreams.
