Step 1 Lead-in

T: Hello, boys and girls. Nice to see you again. First, I want to know what you did last National Day holiday. Please work in two and ask and answer.

Q:What did you do last National Day holiday?

T: And how about me? You can ask me together.

S: What did you do last National Day holiday?

T: I took some interesting photos.Do you want to have a look at my photos. What can you see in my photos?

Step 2 Presentation

1 Learn the signs.

T: What signs are they?

2 Watch and choose

T: Look, Helen, Mike and Tim are at a shopping centre.   Present “ shopping centre.

T: What signs can they see at the shopping centre? Let's watch and choose.

3 Skip and find

Q: Where can they see the signs?

跳读,找出孩子们在哪里看到的这些标志。

Present “juice shop” “bookshop” “ restaurant”

4 Read carefully and find

T: What do these signs mean? What does it mean?  Present “mean”

Read the text in two. And find out the meanings of the signs.

同桌读课文,找出标志的含义,并使用句型进行问答:

5 Summary and retell

6 Talk about the difficulties in the text

3 Talk about the signs in the library

Mike: Hello, I’m Mike. Now I’m in the library. There are many signs here. Can you tell me what these signs mean? Can you work in two and introduce them?

Step 4 Homework

1. Read the Story time fluently.

2. Try to find more signs and know what they mean.
