4. 读懂绘本故事,将英语学习和实际生活相关联,激发英语学习兴趣。

教学重点:

能初步理解现在进行时态的结构。

教学难点:

能熟练运用句型what are you doing? I’m… what is he/she doing? He/ She is…进行对话。

Warming up

1. Greetings.

2. Enjoy a song: What are you doing? 

3. Review the story time

 Look and fill

Let’s review what are Mike and his family doing on Saturday morning. 

 Look and say

What about on Saturday afternoon? Here are 2 pictures for you. Can you look at the pictures and tell me what they are doing? 

 Let’s be Jim

Jim's mother is calling him. She has many questions to ask him. So now I am mother. Can you be Jim? 

4. Let’s chant

Here are the questions and the answers. Let's try to read them in chant. 

① I am mother and I ask.

② All the girls ask and all the boys answer. 

1. Good morning.

2. Enjoy and try to sing the song.

3. Review the story time

 Review what are Mike and his family doing on Saturday morning. 

 Look at the pictures and review the activities in the afternoon.

 

 

 Try to be Jim and answer Jim’s mother’s questions.

 

 

4. Read the questions and the answers in chant in two different ways.

Step 2

Presentation

(Grammar time)

1. Wh-questions

Function: Can you tell me why we ask questions like these? What do we want to know?

Yes, if we want to know the things that others are doing, right? We can ask in this way.

Structure: Ask the Ss to summarize the structure of these sentences.

2. Statements

Structure Now we know how to ask. And how to answer? Can you find the rules of the answers? 

3. Concept of Present Continuous Tense 

We use the present continuous tense to describe something that is happening or an action that is going on.

4. Present Participle

Game: Say the present participle of the verbs quickly. 

Features:

① add ing directly. 

② remove the silent “e” and add ing. 

③ double the last consonant and add ing. 

1. Know why we ask these questions and summarize the structure of these sentences.

 

 

2. Summarize the rules of the answers;

 

 

3. Know the concept of Present Continuous Tense;

 

4. Say V-ing quickly and find their features;

课后研究:本课一共有三个作业,其中两个作业是情境化作业的类型,一个是sharing,与父母分享学习的内容,尝试用英语思维和英语表达所学内容,并且加入自己已有的学习经验和生活经验,从多角度,多层次进行生活式的分享。第二个作业是制作一个poster,在制作的过程中要求融入所学,形成学生自己学生活动中的作品,可以分享,可以保存,作为一个学习阶段的作业形式。
